About the Class

The Yoga Way to Birth is a body-centered childbirth preparation class that draws from the wisdom and disciplines of Eastern philosophies and contemporary mindfulness practices to cultivate a birthing mindset grounded in self-inquiry and somatic self-awareness.

The class started as a collaborative effort between Deah Baird and Tina Lilly in search of a childbirth education model that incorporates movement and body awareness to add physical context to birth preparation.

Through meditations, yoga poses, games, and supportive discussion we encourage parents to explore their beliefs about birth and themselves.

As such, The Yoga Way to Birth doesn't only prepare for labor and birth, but helps in shaping skills that enable you to be a better and happier parent. We use a variety of educational tools, and partner exercises to create an experiential class atmosphere that stimulates a practical, dynamic and memorable birth preparation.
